Last week, we partnered with RSL & Services Club Association once again to deliver another insightful and engaging Leadership Symposium for 2019. Thirty-one CEO’s gathered from member clubs of the RSL & Services Clubs Association to learn about The Power of Omni-Channel over the two days in Darling Harbour. We welcomed back those who have been with us along the journey and welcomed some fresh faces.
This annual event is an opportunity for us to come together in an informal environment and discuss practical strategies for staying ahead of the curve. These sessions are purposefully created to facilitate dialogue about our industry and building a more sustainable pathway for the future. Our focus for this year was The Power of Omni-Channel and how we can use technology, people and process to create incredible, end to end customer experiences.
The Symposium kicked off with a welcome dinner at the new Flying Fish at The Star and provided an opportunity to network and engage with fellow thought leaders. During dinner, we were joined by keynote speaker, Patrick Lindsay. For more than 40 years, Patrick has been a professional observer, in Australia and around the world as a journalist, TV reporter and presenter, documentary maker and author.
He drew on this hard-won experience to observe many outstanding individuals he has met – through the lens of leadership. He has studied many of these subjects in depth for his books and documentaries and he has distilled the insights he gained from them to discern the patterns and qualities that characterize the great ones.
The next day, the Symposium continued with an exclusive tour of the world-class facilities at The Star Sydney. We got the valuable opportunity to experience first-hand the customer journey through The Star property and strategies they have implemented to create a memorable customer experience.
A key highlight of the day was when we were joined by 2018 keynote speaker of the year, Ms. Amanda Stevens. Amanda discussed The Power of Omni-Channel with a combination of current insights, social commentary and dynamic examples. During her presentation, she drew from her specialization in sales, marketing and customer services – with a twist. The presentation was vibrant, energetic and humorous and gave us all a unique perspective on Omni-Channel along with take-away strategies.
Once again, the Annual CEO Leadership Symposium was a fantastic experience for all those that joined.
