For years Aristocrat has always been a proud supporter of International Women’s Day (IWD) – a global event that celebrate the achievements of women all over the world and committing to a positive action together. This year, the theme for International Women’s Day is ‘Break the Bias’ – a call to action that requires us to step up and call out biases, stereotypes, and inequality.
We continue to advocate for gender equality across our business and focus our efforts to have equal representation of female and male leaders amongst those identifying with those genders. As we make progress in diversity and inclusion, we have revised our existing targets in line with leading practice.

For this year’s IWD, we had a packed agenda filled with inspiring presentations, though-provoking discussions and an interactive breakout session allowing our employees to voice their experiences and opinions with others across our business.
First activity to kick off IWD’22 was a panel discussion with three of our Aristocrat Non-Executive Board members.. Employees from across the globe relished at the opportunity to join together in seeking advice and asking questions.
Next, our Asia-Pacific team enjoyed watching guest speaker, Margot Smith, CEO of RSL & Services Clubs Association. Margot has extensive experience across multiple industries and brings a lot of knowledge to the table. This was a truly inspiring presentation where she discussed her views on gender biases and advice on how to combat this.
Lastly, we closed the IWD celebrations in the Asia-Pacific region with a ‘Break the Bias’ workshop where we invited employees all around the business to dive deeper into certain gender bias situations that occur in the workplace and how to overcome these situations.
These events provide a great opportunity to continue the conversation and help us create a more inclusive, diverse, and welcoming organisation.
