A: Slate is a natural rock product that is no longer used for chalkboards. It is very heavy, very expensive and cracks easily.
Q: What is a magnetic board?
A: There is no such thing as a magnetic board. There are boards with a steel backing that accept magnets.
Q: Why won't my chalk board erase?

Q: How do I clean my marker board?
A: With commercial products-such as marker board cleaner
- do not use any thing that is abrasive or contains acetone
- do not scrub with an abrasive material
- do not use an eraser that has been previously used on a chalk board.
- if you remove the gloss finish you have ruined the board!

Q: Can I remove permanent marker from a dry erase board?
A: This substance is very difficult to remove - you can try going over the
permanent marker with dry erase marker as the solvent
in the dry erase marker may remove some of it. Hair spray sometimes works- paint
thinner sometimes works. GOOD LUCK
